Job summary

Diversicare in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support residents at our skilled nursing and long-term care centers. You will deliver restorative nursing services to improve quality of life through structured treatment modalities.

Responsibilities include ROM, strengthening, ambulation, ADLs, nursing whirlpools, and documenting progress. Qualifications include state Nursing Assistant Certification, strong English communication, and a genuine caring approach.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification as required by the state.
• Excellent communication in English, written and spoken.
• Ability to document accurately and perform technical procedures.
• Genuine caring and interest in residents.
• Commitment to restorative nursing philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Perform restorative programs including ROM, strengthening, ambulation, ADLs, nursing whirlpools and positioning.
• Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
• Notify restorative nurse coordinator of problems, referrals or reassessments.
• Report changes to the Director of Nursing and chart significant changes.
• Reinforce team management of B/B program and assist nurse aides.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Serve as a resident advocate at all times.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the nursing team, you will provide restorative nursing techniques to those residents assigned to improve the resident’s quality of life through structured treatment modalities. Responsibilities include:

1. Performs programs on all identified residents. To include but not limited to:

• Range of motion (passive/active)
• General strengthening exercises
• Ambulation and transfer training
• ADL’s
• Nursing whirlpools as assigned
• Placement of restorative devices and equipment
• Positioning
• Restorative feeding program

2. Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.

3.Notifies restorative nurse coordinator or appropriate therapy departmentof problems, referrals or reassessments needed.

4. Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant change in resident’s condition or motivational level.

5. Reinforces team management of B/B program and works with nurse aides on B/B procedures.

6. Attends meetings and in-services as required.

7. Serves as a resident advocate at all times. Motivates others.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the state, where required.
• Good communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
• Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
• A strong belief in the Restorative Nursing Philosophy.
