Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 6-month contract with a local authority in Greenwich to lead the development and delivery of restorative justice and victim support services within the Youth Offending Service.

The role focuses on ensuring victims are informed, consulted and supported, advocating for the victim's perspective and involving young people, families and partner agencies to improve outcomes and reduce re-offending.

Qualifications

• This role requires a professional qualification in youth justice, social care, education, or a related field.
• Experience in youth justice, social care, education, or community safety is essential.
• Ability to work with victims and young people in restorative settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for victims of youth crime, keeping them informed and supported throughout the justice process.
• Advocate for a victim-centered approach within the Youth Offending Service and partner agencies.
• Ensure adherence to the Victim Code of Practice and provide unbiased information to assist victims in making informed decisions.
• Conduct assessments of victims' needs and prepare written reports on impact and outcomes.
• Facilitate restorative interventions such as mediation and restorative conferences.
• Engage young people in restorative processes and collaborative work with families.
