Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our team at Hill Country Heights in Copperas Cove, TX. This PRN, weekend-shift role focuses on delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for residents under the therapy team.

You will receive restorative training onsite, perform restorative care duties, and support patients with ambulation and ROM, while maintaining patient-centered care in a senior wellness setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice is required.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer/exercise specialist or similar is preferred.
• Experience or background in exercise and activity training with senior populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and collaborate with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive restorative training onsite; CNA certification is required.
• Assist in restorative care tasks as directed for patients.
• Perform exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, prosthesis care) with minimal undesired CNA tasks.
