The role functions as a Certified Nursing Assistant while implementing individualized restorative programs. A CNA certification is required, with restorative training and long-term care experience preferred to enhance resident function and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification in the state.
• Restorative nursing training preferred.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to follow care plans and restorative schedules accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative exercises, ambulation, range of motion, and mobility programs.
• Support residents with transfers and use of assistive devices.
• Encourage independence and participation in restorative activities.
• Document restorative care provided and resident progress daily.
• Report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and positioning.
• Participate in resident care planning and provide input for MDS and care plans.
• Monitor restorative equipment for cleanliness and proper use.
• Assist nursing staff with routine care and assignments as directed.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times.
