Job summary

Extended Care LLC is seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide to coordinate, implement, and provide restorative nursing care under the direction of the Nursing Department and in collaboration with Rehabilitation. The role focuses on maximizing residents' physical function and emotional well-being in a compassionate, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification as required by the state.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Compliant with the state’s Health Care Worker Background Check requirements.
• Physical ability to push, pull, move, and lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and participate in restorative programs tailored to residents' needs.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing and Rehabilitation Nurse on goals and approaches.
• Assist residents in transitions from skilled rehab to restorative programs and preventative care.
• Attend rehab rounds and provide progress updates to the care team.
• Maintain and document restorative progress and records.
• Visit residents daily to ensure productive restorative activities.
• Train primary caregivers in restorative techniques and provide direct care support.
• Monitor ROM and turning/positioning orders for compliance.
• Assist with splints, braces, prosthetic devices, and self-help tools.
