Job summary

Zarrow Pointe is seeking a Restorative Aide. Must be a current Certified Nursing Assistant with an interest in Restorative/Functional Nursing Care, and capable of documenting resident responses to treatment.

Daytime hours. The role involves following rehab protocols, maintaining treatment records, ensuring safety, and collaborating with therapy staff to promote the resident's highest functional level.

Qualifications

• Must be a current CNA with interest in Restorative/Functional Nursing Care.
• Ability to adequately record resident responses to treatment in writing.
• Ability to communicate verbally and foster good relationships; obtain resident cooperation.
• Attentiveness and dependability; observe safety precautions.
• Good health and endurance physically and emotionally.
• Willingness to work with therapy personnel to learn new skills.
• Performs rehabilitation procedures to maintain the highest functional level.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents according to Care Plans and therapist instructions.
• Follow rehabilitation treatment protocols.
• Maintain records of treatments and resident responses.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment using equipment and assistance as needed.
• Report changes in resident condition to Director of Nursing or Therapist.
• Assist with orientation and in-service.
• Request resident assessments by therapists as indicated.
• Assess wheelchairs and adaptive equipment, refer findings to Nursing/Therapy as needed.
• Serve as a resource for CNAs in positioning, transferring and ambulation.
• Understand the performance requirements of CNAs.
