Job summary

Colonial Village in Overland Park, KS seeks a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to provide direct care in a senior living community. You will support residents with restorative nursing tasks and daily living activities, following established policies and procedures.

The role involves working 30+ hours weekly for full-time or up to 29 hours for part-time, with shifts that include 4, 8, and 12 hours. A CNA certification and BLS are preferred, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare setting, preferably rehab/therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of restorative therapy principles and techniques.
• CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Empathy and patience with residents recovering from illness or injury.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily exercises and activities as prescribed by therapists.
• Support residents with ADLs to increase independence.
• Monitor and report patient progress to healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment per health and safety rules.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Attend team meetings to discuss progress and care plans.
• Help transport and transfer residents to participate in therapies.
