Colonial Village in Overland Park, KS seeks a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to provide direct care in a senior living community. You will support residents with restorative nursing tasks and daily living activities, following established policies and procedures.

The role involves working 30+ hours weekly for full-time or up to 29 hours for part-time, with shifts that include 4, 8, and 12 hours. A CNA certification and BLS are preferred, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare setting, preferably rehab/therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of restorative therapy principles and techniques.
• CNA certification is required.
• BLS certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Empathy and patience with residents recovering from illness or injury.

Responsibilities

Role

We are seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to join our team! This position provides direct care to nursing home residents, in accordance with restorative nursing policies and procedures. May help with resident care while performing restorative nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily exercises and physical activities as prescribed by therapists.
• Support patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) to increase their independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans.
• Help transport and transfer patients as needed to ensure they participate in therapeutic activities

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation or therapy.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
