Job summary

Colonial Village is seeking a dedicated Restorative Aide - CNA to join our team in Overland Park, KS. This role provides direct care to nursing home residents according to restorative nursing policies and procedures and may assist with resident care during restorative activities.

We offer 4, 8, and 12 hour shifts with both full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Certified Nurse Aide license and be in acceptable standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents doing progressive range of motion exercises and progressive mobility, to include bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
• Assist residents in progressive eating, during breakfast and lunch.
• Assists residents in progressive bathing and dressing.
• Assists and teaches residents in progressive grooming.
• Takes and records vital signs of residents according to facility schedule and policies, and during restorative activities.
• Documents and/or reports information regarding the residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisor.
• Works closely with the physical therapy department.
• Documents all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record
• Assures personal and staff compliance to all state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Assures personal and staff compliance to residents’ rights.
• Provides care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
