Lifepoint Health, Inc. is seeking a Restorative Aide for Kindred Hospital St Louis South. The schedule is FT Days with a 9:00am - 3:30pm shift and one weekend per month.

You will provide restorative nursing interventions to support patients during custodial care and after rehabilitation therapy, under licensed nurse supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a BLS certification, and preferred six months experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.

Qualificações

• Six months experience as Rehab Tech or Restorative Nursing Aide in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Competence with basic computer and technology systems.

Responsabilidades

• Provide restorative nursing interventions under supervision of a licensed nurse to support patients after rehabilitation therapy or requiring supplemental interventions during custodial care.
• Aim to promote independent, safe functioning and enhance physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Perform restorative nursing interventions to help patients reach maximum functional potential.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or therapist.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
• Assist in collecting quality review data and survey preparation.
• Support cost-effective care delivery and interdisciplinary group activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Demonstrate professional behavior with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Adhere to professional standards and internal policies.
• Contribute to client relations and marketing efforts.
• Maintain clinical competency and participate in team meetings.
• Support administrative and clinical efficiency initiatives.

More about our team: Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is a 38-bed long-term acute care hospital, offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period, which includes a four-bed high observation unit for patients who need extra attention. Our Unit is a very fast paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What you will do in this role: Provides restorative nursing interventions under the supervision of a licensed nurse to support patients discharged from formal rehabilitation therapy, those not eligible for formal therapy, or those requiring supplemental interventions during custodial care. The goal is to promote independent, safe functioning and enhance physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Restorative nursing services (excluding Continuous Passive Motion) do not require a physician's order. Additional responsibilities in this role include:

• Perform restorative nursing interventions to support patients in reaching maximum functional potential.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or therapist.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
• Assist in collecting quality review data and survey preparation.
• Support cost-effective care delivery and interdisciplinary group activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Demonstrate professional behavior in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Adhere to the standards of professional organizations and internal policies.
• Contribute to client relations and marketing efforts.
• Maintain clinical competency and participate in team meetings.
• Support administrative and clinical efficiency initiatives.

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Six months experience as a Rehab Tech or Restorative Nursing Aide in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Skills and Abilities: Competence with basic computer and technology systems.
