Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Restorative Aide for Kindred Hospital - Chicago North. The role supports therapists by carrying out restorative programs and assisting residents with activities, promoting safety and quality of care in a busy hospital rehab setting.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 6–12 months rehab experience, CPR certification, and willingness to participate in on-the-job training. Hourly rate $18–$20; full-time schedule.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English.

Responsabilités

• Carry out individualized restorative programs designed by the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
• Document observations of residents' condition accurately and report findings timely to the care team.
• Assist residents with ambulation and transfer as needed.
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation in therapy areas, including equipment and spaces.

How you'll contribute

Responsible for carrying out individual restorative programs designed by the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist

• Communicates observations of residents' condition, preventing residents' neglect, abuse and violations of rights and privacy, and promoting continuity of care throughaccurateandtimelydocumentation and reporting
• Sanitization of whirlpool, tubs and showers when used in restorative therapy, andassistingresidents with ambulation and transfer as needed
• Able to lift and carry equipment,suppliesand materials up to 50lbson a regular basis
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Superior customer service and resident care skills
• Successful candidates willdemonstrateinterest, enthusiasm, and experience working with older adults
• Other duties as assigned
