Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital South is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to support physical therapy services. The role requires assisting therapists, preparing treatment spaces, and aiding patients under supervision. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality care in a hospital setting.

The position is PRN with varied shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma, CPR/BCLS certification, and good communication and interpersonal skills.

How You'll Contribute:

The Rehabilitation Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and as directed by a licensed physician, is responsible for a specific patient's care. The Rehabilitation Technician carries out these responsibilities in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. Other responsibilities of the role include:

• Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital.
• Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
• Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies.
• Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department.
• Other duties as assigned.
