Job summary

Kindred Hospital Northland in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Restorative Aide to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation's team. This full‑time days shift offers a Monday–Friday schedule with one monthly weekend shift, and a focus on restorative nursing interventions under licensed supervision.

You will perform restorative tasks to help patients regain independence, collaborate with nurses and therapists, and participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Six months as Rehab Tech or Restorative Nursing Aide preferred.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Skills: Competence with basic computer and technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides restorative nursing interventions under supervision of a licensed nurse to support patients discharged from rehab therapy or needing supplemental interventions.
• Perform restorative nursing interventions to help patients reach maximum functional potential.
• Report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising nurse or therapist.
• Participate in quality management and safety committee activities.
• Assist in collecting quality review data and survey preparation.
• Support cost‑effective care delivery and interdisciplinary group activities.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.
• Demonstrate professional behavior in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Adhere to standards of professional organizations and internal policies.
• Contribute to client relations and marketing efforts.
• Maintain clinical competency and participate in team meetings.
• Support administrative and clinical efficiency initiatives.

What you will do in this role:

Provides restorative nursing interventions under the supervision of a licensed nurse to support patients discharged from formal rehabilitation therapy, those not eligible for formal therapy, or those requiring supplemental interventions during custodial care. The goal is to promote independent, safe functioning and enhance physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being. Restorative nursing services (excluding Continuous Passive Motion) do not require a physician's order. Additional responsibilities in this role include:

• Perform restorative nursing interventions to support patients in reaching maximum functional potential.
