Job summary

42 North Dental in Portland, ME is seeking a Dentist to oversee the full clinical patient experience from initial exam and treatment plan to delivery of care. In-office specialties include periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice dentistry.
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Proof of malpractice insurance.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention.
• Diagnose oral diseases.
• Educate patients on oral health and treatment options.
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore oral health.
• Review treatment plan options with patients.
• Review and maintain patient records.
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostics.
• Monitor growth and development of teeth and jaws.
• Provide restorative and preventive dental care.
• Perform surgical procedures in the oral cavity.
• Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism.
• Keep up with new developments and continuing education.
