Job summary

Watterson is seeking a Mitigation Technician to assess damaged properties and perform water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition services in line with IICRC standards. The role includes setting up drying equipment, documenting progress, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Candidates should be physically capable, able to lift up to 75 pounds, hold a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ of IICRC Restoration Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) preferred.
• 2+ years as an experienced Restoration Technician preferred.
• 1-2 years of general work experience.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition services in accordance with company procedures and IICRC standards.
• Assess damaged areas and assist in determining the scope of work, including salvageable materials.
• Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Perform extraction, debris removal, cleaning, sanitizing, and contents handling to stabilize properties.
• Document job progress with photos, moisture readings, and daily notes.
