Job summary

Watterson-Environmental- is seeking a Mitigation Technician to assess and restore damaged properties, performing water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition per company procedures.

You will set up drying equipment, document progress, and maintain safety while delivering strong customer service and teamwork. Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift heavy materials are required.

Qualifications

• IICRC Restoration Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) preferred.
• 2+ years as Restoration Technician preferred.
• 1-2 years general work experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition services per procedures and IICRC standards.
• Assess damaged areas and help determine the scope of work and salvageability.
• Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment like air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct extraction, debris removal, cleaning, sanitizing, and contents handling to stabilize properties.
• Document job progress with photos, moisture readings, sketches, and notes.
• Communicate professionally with customers about status, expectations, and daily activities.
• Follow safety procedures and proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
• Operate company vehicles and transport tools and materials to job sites.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean, functional condition.
• Assist with containment and cross-contamination prevention measures.
