Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean of Fraser Valley is seeking a reliable restoration technician to join our Austin team. You will respond promptly to emergency calls, perform water and fire damage restoration, set up specialty equipment, and help return properties to their pre-loss condition.

Candidates should have handyman or construction experience, enjoy teamwork, and be willing to work outdoors and on-call shifts. IICRC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and perform restoration activities such as water extraction, fire damage restoration, equipment setup, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, job site findings, and equipment requirements to supervisors.
• Maintain open communication with clients and explain the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction and drying.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
