Job summary

Servpro of St. Louis Central is seeking a motivated restoration technician to respond to emergencies and perform restoration tasks on residential and commercial properties, helping to restore spaces to preloss condition.

Ideal candidates have handyman or construction experience, enjoy hands-on outdoor work, and are committed to helping communities in times of need. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities, including water extraction and set-up of equipment.
• Load and organize vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and requirements with supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients about the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including drying and site cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean‑up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on‑call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
