Contracting Specialists DC, LLC is expanding its Restoration Services team and seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support day-to-day management of concrete and masonry restoration projects in Richmond, VA. The role collaborates with architects, engineers, consultants, and field teams to ensure compliance with historical preservation standards and local building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant construction experience, preferably in concrete restoration or historic masonry.
• Familiarity with restoration techniques and historical preservation guidelines.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs in daily management of concrete and masonry restoration projects.
• Assist in preparing schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather data per project specs.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality and safety compliance.
• Track project materials, equipment, and deliveries for efficient workflow.
• Assist in preparing estimates, take-offs, and proposals during pre-construction.
• Document updates, change orders, and issues during construction.
• Ensure work meets historical preservation standards and codes.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
