Job summary

ServiceMaster by GBS is seeking an experienced Restoration Crew Chief / Technician who can lead jobs from first call to final walkthrough. You’ll assess damage on site, direct crews and technicians, and communicate clearly with customers, insurance adjusters, and your team to ensure work is done right the first time.

The right fit has hands-on restoration experience (water, fire, or mold), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• Restoration, cleaning, or construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; comfortable driving a company vehicle.
• IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, FSRT, OCT are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and manage jobs from first call to final walkthrough.
• Set up and monitor structural drying, water extraction, fire/smoke cleanup, and mold remediation.
• Supervise and train production technicians on-site.
• Complete accurate job documentation with moisture readings, photos, and drying logs using mobile software.
• Communicate directly with customers, explaining the process and answering questions.
• Interface with insurance adjusters as needed.
• Identify and control safety hazards on every job site.
• Maintain and protect company vehicles, equipment, and materials.
• Keep vehicles, warehouse, and equipment clean and job-ready.

Compensation & Benefits
