ServiceMaster by GBS in New York seeks an experienced Restoration Crew Chief / Technician to own each restoration project from intake to final walkthrough. You lead crews, assess damage on site, and drive safe, quality work while communicating clearly with customers and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers and assist with questions about the process.
• Interface with insurance adjusters as needed.
• Identify and control safety hazards on every job site.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and manage jobs from first call to final walkthrough
• Set up and monitor structural drying, water extraction, fire/smoke cleanup, and mold remediation
• Supervise and train production technicians on-site
• Complete accurate job documentation — moisture readings, photos, and drying logs — using mobile software
• Communicate directly with customers, explaining the process and answering questions
• Interface with insurance adjusters as needed
• Identify and control safety hazards on every job site
• Maintain and protect company vehicles, equipment, and materials
• Keep vehicles, warehouse, and equipment clean and job-ready

Qualifications

• Restoration, cleaning, or construction experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; comfortable driving a company vehicle
• IICRC certifications a plus — WRT, ASD, FSRT, OCT and others. The more licenses you hold, the stronger your candidacy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight spaces, and be on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

Compensation & Benefits

$23–$35 per hour, based on experience and certifications
