Job summary

BMS CAT in Mission Viejo, CA, is hiring for a water mitigation technician to perform high-quality water mitigation services and assist with extraction, demolition, and cleanup at customer sites. This role requires physical strength, the ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces, and a valid driver’s license.

On-site work with a rotating on-call schedule is possible, with company-paid life insurance and optional medical plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in water mitigation.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds regularly and work in tight spaces.
• Valid driver's license and good driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality water mitigation services.
• Execute water extraction and removal tasks.
• Carry out demolition and debris cleanup when required.
• Set up/monitor drying equipment and containment.
• Lead a work crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

Job Duties

• Perform high quality water mitigation services
• Water extraction
• Perform demolition tasks
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged
• Place and monitor drying equipment
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set‑up procedures
• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown
• Effectively lead a work crew

Requirements

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required
• Experience in water mitigation
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Participate in our on‑call rotation work schedule
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history

Compensation

Company paid Life Insurance, optional Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance is available, 401(k) plan, generous paid time off, and much more. Compensation will vary based on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. Base Pay Maximum: $37. Base Pay Minimum: $26.
