Job summary

SERVPRO of Richmond, Chesterfield, Henrico, and Tri-Cities is hiring a Crew Chief to coordinate and execute restoration projects on-site. You will supervise technicians, ensure safety and quality, document job progress, and maintain strong communication with the project manager and office team.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, 1+ year in cleaning/restoration/construction, and the ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds. IICRC certification is a plus. Compensation is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction is required.
• IICRC certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.
• Manage the customer and client experience and overall satisfaction.
• Supervise restoration technicians and communicate expectations clearly.
• Document detailed and accurate job files to support services.
• Manage labor and consumables on assigned projects.
• Adhere to OSHA guidelines for job safety.

As the front-line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Crew Chief demonstrates the company’s Here to Help® commitment to customers and clients. This is done by coordinating, monitoring, and performing work activities on projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform production processes as scheduled and ensure quality control
• Manage the customer and client experience and overall customer satisfaction tracked with online reviews
• Communicate clear expectations to restoration technicians and supervise their activities
• Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided
• Manage labor and consumable item usage on assigned projects
• Communicate with restoration project manager and office staff on project progress and issues

Additional Responsibilities

• Communicate and follow all OSHA guidelines for job safety
• Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly
• Coach and train restoration technicians

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma/GED (preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction
• IICRC certification a plus, not required
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
