Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon is seeking a motivated technician to respond to emergency restoration needs, including water and fire damage, with hands-on work and teamwork. You will handle extraction, drying, equipment setup, and site cleanup while coordinating with supervisors and clients.

Valid driver’s license is required; on-call shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be needed. Prior restoration or construction experience is preferred and IICRC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous handyman or construction experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations (water, fire damage).
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities (water extraction, drying, equipment setup, demolition).
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards, site findings, and equipment needs to supervisors.
• Maintain open communication with clients and explain the restoration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

Compensation: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
