Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration in the United States seeks an entry-level Superintendent to support project management across restoration and light construction tracks. Candidates should have recent training or tenure in BELFOR technician tracks (fire, water and contents or carpentry) or relevant restoration industry experience,

Qualifications

• Must hold IICRC ASD designation for Water Damage.
• Completed BELFOR New Hire Coursework.
• Certified to operate a Hi-Lo forklift.
• Completed prior 18 months as Intermediate Water Damage Specialist, Intermediate Carpentry, or Intermediate Fire Damage Specialist, or equivalent industry experience.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• Strong work ethic, urgency, professional demeanor.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Superintendents assigned TPA program work must know all program requirements as well as Xactimate estimates and budgets.
• Construction track — must understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure project safety, and maintain quality control
• Establish core project management capabilities with time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders
• Advance knowledge of current and past construction practices
• Review daily requirements of the projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges
• Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs and sketches for various BELFOR projects
• Must perform all skills related to prior Intermediate Fire Damage Specialist, Intermediate Water Damage Specialist, or Intermediate Carpentry roles
• Daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections; keep in clean serviceable condition
• Maintain attention to detail
• Meet BELFOR Standards in safeguarding other people's property
• Understand customer service principles and practices
• Work under time constraints to meet timelines
• Be prepared to work nights and weekends and travel periodically
• Report time worked and equipment and consumables used timely and accurately
• Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
