Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore seeks a Construction Estimator to prepare accurate repair and reconstruction estimates for residential and commercial losses. You will use Xactimate or Symbility to develop detailed scopes and manage estimates from inspection through final billing.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating drywall, painting, flooring, cabinetry, trim, doors and other repairs.
• Office-based estimating with field inspections as needed.
• Ability to prepare accurate line-item estimates and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, line-item construction estimates in Xactimate or Symbility for repair and reconstruction projects.
• Inspect properties, take measurements, review photos and project docs to establish repair scope.
• Identify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and permits needed to complete each project.
• Develop scopes addressing documented damage and return properties to pre-loss condition.
• Coordinate with project managers, field personnel and subcontractors to verify methods and quantities.
• Obtain and review subcontractor quotes for scope accuracy and pricing.
• Evaluate costs and prepare budgets to support pricing and profitability.
• Review insurer estimates to identify missing items and scope differences.
• Prepare supplements and documentation for concealed damage and code requirements.
• Communicate with adjusters and program reps to resolve scope and pricing differences.
• Prepare customer proposals, selections, allowances, upgrades, exclusions and change orders.
• Provide approved estimates and scope details to production for scheduling and execution.
• Maintain estimating files with photos, measurements, quotes, approvals and revisions.
• Coordinate with management and accounting to ensure final invoices reflect approved work.
