Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Level 2 Progressive Carpenter to support reconstruction projects in Seattle, WA. You will learn on the job under experienced carpenters and gain hands-on experience with framing, trim installation, cabinetry, insulation, and general containment tasks.

Responsibilities include taking direction from supervisors, protecting contents, using BELFOR methods for flood cuts and salvage, maintaining equipment, meeting deadlines, and attending safety trainings as required.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of carpentry and tool usage are required.
• Ability to coordinate a small crew of unskilled laborers on residential projects.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends and travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from experienced carpenter and supervisor.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt, and contaminants.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Develop material knowledge related to trims, doors, cabinetry.
• Develop proficiency in installing insulation.
• Learn framing, trim installation, and cabinetry installation under supervision.
• Learn to dry-in a building for roofing material installation.
• Follow MSDS protocols for chemicals used in mitigation.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding others’ property.
• Demonstrate strong customer service understanding.
