Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a level 2 Progressive Carpenter to support restoration projects in Seattle. You will work under experienced carpenters, protect contents, construct containment, and help with framing, trimming, insulation installations, and basic roofing tasks.

The role emphasizes learning on the job, safety compliance, and customer service while occasionally working nights, weekends, and travel. Ability to use common carpentry tools and follow BELFOR methods is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic carpentry fundamentals.
• Proficiency with common carpentry tools and BELFOR equipment.
• Ability to coordinate a small crew of unskilled laborers.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to take direction from experienced carpenter and supervisor.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants in work area.
• Perform tasks related to floodcutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Develop material knowledge for trims, doors, cabinetry.
• Install insulation and framing components under supervision.
• Learn MSDS protocols for chemicals used during mitigation.
