Job summary

BELFOR USA is seeking a Level 2 Progressive Carpenter to support reconstruction projects in Seattle. You will learn through on-the-job training, work with intermediate and advanced carpenters, and grow toward supervisory responsibilities on residential projects.

Responsibilities include material handling, containment construction, and collaboration with crews to meet timelines while following BELFOR safety and MSDS protocols. Nights, weekends, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of carpentry and accepted tool use.
• Willingness to supervise small crews of unskilled laborers.
• MSDS protocols understanding for chemicals used during mitigation.
• Strong attention to detail in field operations.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from experienced carpenter and supervisor.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Use BELFOR methods for floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling trim components.
• Develop knowledge of trims, doors, cabinetry, and related materials.
• Assist with insulation installation and framing tasks under supervision.
• Gain proficiency in roof-related dry-in tasks and cabinet installation.
• Learn MSDS protocols and safety training as required.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and keep equipment in good condition.
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding client property.
• Maintain thorough documentation of time worked and materials used.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
