Job summary

Miss J's Cafe inside LV Petroleum Travel Centers in Williams, IA is hiring energetic Team Members to prepare fresh food, deliver excellent customer service, and keep dining areas clean. Onsite interviews welcome at the Travel Center during normal hours.

You will greet guests, take orders, prepare menu items, and operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean, efficient workspace and collaborating with the team to handle busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or food service experience is a plus, but not required — we will train motivated candidates.
• Positive, friendly attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly.
• Prepare menu items including sandwiches, salads, soups, and daily specials according to Miss J's Café standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, ovens, blenders, toasters, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dining room, kitchen, and restrooms.
• Handle cash and payments accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and receiving deliveries.
• Work cooperatively with the team to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times.

Miss J's Cafe is the signature quick-service restaurant inside LV Petroleum Travel Centers. We serve fresh, made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites to professional drivers, travelers, and local guests in a fast-paced, friendly environment.
