Job summary

LV Petroleum is hiring restaurant team members for our travel center location. Roles include cooks and cashiers, focusing on food preparation, cooking, cleanliness, inventory and teamwork to deliver quality dining experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain focused under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: prepare ingredients, follow recipes, assist with setup and organization of the kitchen.
• Cooking and Cooking Assistance: cook or assist in cooking dishes per menu specs; monitor temperature and quality; operate grills, fryers, ovens and stoves safely.
• Cleanliness and Safety: maintain clean kitchen; follow health and sanitation guidelines; proper waste management and food storage.
• Inventory Management: restock kitchen supplies; monitor inventory; rotate stock (FIFO).
• Team Collaboration: work with kitchen staff and front-of-house; assist training of new staff.
• Adherence to Procedures: follow established cooking procedures, portion sizes and presentation standards; manage allergens.
