Perkins American Food Co. in Wisconsin seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and drive sales and profits through compliant procedures and exceptional guest service.

You will lead staff, ensure food safety, manage staffing, payroll, and training, while maintaining a clean, safe, and high-energy workplace. University coursework and ServSafe certification are encouraged; benefits include daily pay and career development.

Qualifications

• One to two years previous experience in a supervisory role; preferably in the food service industry
• Must communicate effectively with employees, guests and vendors in person and by telephone
• Must coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Assists the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower
• Responsible for achieving plan profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
• Accountable for proper handling of cash, credit card information, gift cards and all related payments
• Assists in planning and analysing restaurant unit manpower, ensuring development and training of all employees
• Assists General Manager in staffing including recruitment, training and new hire orientation
• Attends University of Perkins and completes coursework
• Achieves and maintains ServSafe certification
• Performs and can assist in all restaurant functions
• Ensures menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly
• Monitors food temperatures to reduce food-borne illness risk factors
• Manages staffing to meet productivity and service standards
• Maintains facility, equipment, safety and sanitation compliance
• Maintains inventory levels and correct ordering procedures
• Identifies and corrects system breakdowns to ensure guest satisfaction
• Prepares financial data, payroll, cash, expenses and reports
• Attends team meetings and presents to peers and management
