Salary Range: $22/hr

City Experiences is seeking a Part-Time Restaurant Supervisor for our City Cruises operation in New York City.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cruise Execution: Assist in managing the front-of-the-house staff, including recruitment, training, coaching/discipline, and retention of assigned vessel staff.
  • Provide assistance to restaurant managers during shift changes and ensure adherence to procedures detailed in the Product Management Guide, including pre-cruise preparation, supervision of staff, food & beverage service, and entertainment.
  • Gather cruise event details from other departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct pre-cruise meetings and communicate necessary information to staff.
  • Ensure staff and guests adhere to safety standards and procedures.
  • Train staff in proper alcohol service guidelines to ensure guest safety.
  • Maintain sanitation standards according to health department codes.
  • Resolve guest service issues diplomatically to promote guest retention.
  • Observe staff for further training needs and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and recommend service and product quality programs.
Staff Management
  • Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing front-line staff.
  • Adhere to performance management guidelines for discipline and termination.
  • Build positive relationships with city department heads and develop teamwork.
  • Implement employee incentive programs.
Administration
  • Follow cash control procedures and monitor costs.
  • Administer payroll, schedule staff, and manage collateral duties.
  • Ensure compliance with health and alcohol regulations onboard.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and operate restaurant systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of guest service experience and supervisory experience.
  • Responsible alcohol service (TIPS) and ServSafe certifications required.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic personality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work extended periods, lift heavy items, and be available on holidays.
