Job summary

Starbird Chicken in California is hiring a restaurant supervisor to lead daily operations on the front and back of house. The role requires 1-2 years in the restaurant industry with proven supervisory experience and a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will train new team members, ensure food safety compliance, and cover multiple line positions (Fryer, line cook, cashier) as needed. Weekend and evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in the restaurant industry, with supervisory experience.
• Ability to keep the team on task and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Assist with guest issues and maintain high service levels.
• Work all line positions as needed (Fryer, line cook, cashier).
• Assist in training new team members.
• Ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
• Must stand, bend, reach, lift and move for extended periods; tolerate temperature changes.
• Weekend and evening shifts are required.
• Willingness to be coached in a learning culture.

Essentials of the position:

• 1-2 Years’ experience in the restaurant industry, plus proven experience working as a supervisor

• Ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, lift, grasp for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in confined work area.
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs; place items on high and low shelves in office, store rooms, service areas and walk-in coolers.
• Plating prepared foods using Starbird guidelines
• Must also be able to tolerate temperature changes in kitchen and refrigerated areas.
• Weekend and evening shifts are a must
• Openness to being coached/mentored, we are a learning culture
