Job summary

Alvarado Restaurant Nation is seeking a Shift Leader in Colorado to oversee daily restaurant operations, coach the team, and maintain safety and quality standards. You will manage shift changes, zone assignments, and back‑of‑house procedures while upholding the company’s mission.

Responsibilities include enforcing food safety checklists, resolving conflicts, and ensuring breaks and coverage are properly planned.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coach and guide a team in a fast‑paced restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the food industry.
• Ability to complete food safety checklists and verify adherence to standards.
• Strong organizational skills for shift changes and zone assessments.
• Experience reviewing deployment charts and planning team breaks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently.
• Verify correct hand washing and adherence to standards.
• Complete food safety checklists regularly.
• Coach team members through conflicts and model behavior.
• Hold team members accountable for zone tasks.
• Conduct zone walks to ensure task completion.
• Review deployment chart and place teammates appropriately.
• Execute back-of-house shift change procedures.
• Complete assessments of each zone.
• Plan and assign breaks for team members.
• Post daily goals and use the SWS form.
• Ensure all dishes and back‑of‑house areas are clean.
