Job summary

Fulenwider Enterprises’ KFC and Taco Bell locations in Boone, NC are seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead a team during peak hours, ensure smooth operations, and deliver friendly service.

As a captain of the shift, you’ll mentor crew, supervise food preparation, handle guest concerns, and uphold food safety and cleanliness standards.

This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays, with on‑the‑job training available.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or fast‑food settings preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and adapts quickly.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Food safety certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift: manage staff, guest questions, and policy adherence.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent service.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintain high food safety standards in preparation, storage and handling.
• Handle cash registers, payments, and accurate record keeping.
• Monitor inventory, place orders, and rotate stock as needed.
• Prepare shift reports including sales and labor costs.
• Train new team members on policies and service standards.
• Handle unexpected issues and resolve conflicts quickly.
• Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organized and presentable.
• Assist with promotions and specials to drive sales.
