Café Yumm! Cascade Park Plaza in Vancouver, WA is seeking a part-time Restaurant Shift Leader for multiple shifts. The role supports a fast-paced, community-focused environment with weekends and closing shifts required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain a Washington Food Worker’s Permit.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certification preferred or obtainable.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food service (servers, cooks, cashiers, hosts) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train team across all restaurant stations: cashier, deli, dishwasher, expeditor, prep, grill/salad.
• Provide remarkable, memorable, and informative service.
• Count registers and ensure cash accuracy.
• Follow procedures for opening and closing procedures.
• Direct and motivate team to maintain operational excellence.

We have a part-time opening on all shifts for a Restaurant Shift Leader at Café Yumm! Cascade Park Plaza near the interchange of I-205 and Mill Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, WA. *This role would be scheduled up to 29 hours a week, weekends and closing shifts required*

The Restaurant Lead is a supervisory role that has no hiring, scheduling, or disciplinary responsibilities. While not a management position, advancement opportunities are available.

Job Responsibilities:

• Display a high degree of competency and ability to train others on all stations in the restaurant: cashier, deluxe bar, dishwasher, expeditor, food preparation, grill/salads, starts/hot bar.
• Provide service that is remarkable, memorable, fun, and informative.
• Count registers and ensure money is accurate.
• Follow procedures to ensure opening and closing are done properly.
• Direct and motivate Team Members throughout shift to ensure operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess “can do” attitude.
• Arrive on time for each shift.
• Be proficient in customer service.
• Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.Sufficient command of the English language to be able to order and receive product, check product against a delivery sheet or an order sheet, communicate orders to others, and read and understand the POS system.

Your Education and Experience:

• Possess or be able to obtain a valid Washington Food Worker’s Permit.
• Possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe Food Manager Certificate.
• Possession of either a High School Diploma or GED Certificate is preferred.
• At least six (6) months’ experience as a server, cook, cashier, host, or equivalent related experience is preferred.
