Job summary

Café Yumm! Delta in Eugene, OR is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader for part-time evening and weekend closing shifts. You will supervise front-of-house operations and train staff across stations to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Min. 6 months experience in server, cook, cashier, host or related role preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Oregon Food Handler’s Permit.
• ServSafe Food Manager Certificate preferred or obtainable.
• Good leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Train team on all restaurant stations: cashier, deluxe bar, dishwasher, expeditor, food prep, grill/salads, starts/hot bar.
• Provide remarkable, memorable, and informative service.
• Count tills and ensure cash accuracy.
• Open and close procedures must be followed correctly.
• Direct and motivate team to achieve operational excellence.

We have a part-time opening on closing shifts for a Restaurant Shift Leader at Café Yumm! Delta on Green Acres Rd near Delta Highway in Eugene, OR.

Only those with availability to work evenings and weekends will be considered. Those with flexible availability will be given preference.

• Starting base wage $17.56/hour plus $6.92/hour in tips (based on a 12-month average of hourly tips from 4/1/2025-3/31/2026).

The Restaurant Lead is a supervisory role that has no hiring, scheduling, or disciplinary responsibilities. While not a management position, advancement opportunities are available.

Job Responsibilities:

• Display a high degree of competency and ability to train others on all stations in the restaurant: cashier, deluxe bar, dishwasher, expeditor, food preparation, grill/salads, starts/hot bar.
• Provide service that is remarkable, memorable, fun, and informative.
• Count registers and ensure money is accurate.
• Follow procedures to ensure opening and closing are done properly.
• Direct and motivate Team Members throughout shift to ensure operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess “can do” attitude.
• Arrive on time for each shift.
• Be proficient in customer service.
• Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Sufficient command of the English language to be able to order and receive product, check product against a delivery sheet or an order sheet, communicate orders to others, and read and understand the POS system.

Your Education and Experience:

• Possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler’s Permit.
• Possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe Food Manager Certificate.
• Possession of either a High School Diploma or GED Certificate is preferred.
• At least six (6) months’ experience as a server, cook, cashier, host, or equivalent related experience is preferred.
