Job summary

Penn Station Sandwiches is seeking a motivated shift leader to oversee daily operations, direct the workflow of team members, and interact with customers while preparing food. You will ensure tasks are performed efficiently, coach staff, and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shift Leader or in a similar role in retail.
• Reliability and consistency in performance.

• Available to close the restaurant at least 2 nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Supervising team members, assigning duties, and creating a shift schedule.
• Monitoring team performance and ensuring tasks are performed efficiently.
• Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to management.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.
• Coaching team members and training new staff.
• Closing out cash registers and preparing cash deposits.
• Handling customer issues and employee disputes.

Job description

Successful shift leaders must be able to oversee a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately and efficiently.
