Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is hiring a Restaurant Server for Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, MO. The position is full-time with breakfast shifts and a pay rate of $7.50 per hour plus tips.

You will greet guests, take orders, and collaborate with the kitchen to ensure accurate and timely service. Ideal candidates will have strong English communication skills, customer-service experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding the resort's standards

Qualifications

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests and staff.
• Experience in food service and customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to follow policies and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Take guests' orders and answer questions about the menu.
• Explain menu items and daily specials to guests.
• Input orders accurately into the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with opening/closing duties.
• Provide warm, friendly service and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Stay informed on food and beverage offerings and daily specials.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay $7.50 per hour plus tips

Breakfast Shifts are 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age Reports to: JBs Boathouse Restaurant Manager

As a Restaurant Server, you will take the guests’ orders and answer questions about the menu as needed, maintaining the fun, upbeat culture of the restaurant in your communication with the guests.

Responsibilities Include

• Ensure all details are followed according to supervisor’s instructions.
• Greet guests at the table and introduce yourself.
• Explain menu items and daily specials and be able to advise on options for special dietary requirements.
• Take orders accurately and communicate orders to the kitchen promptly using the systems in place.
• Enter tickets in the Micros system accurately and promptly.
• Check on guests at the table, maintaining a positive can-do attitude and ensuring the guests have everything they need.
• Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times in a warm and friendly manner.
• Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Have a thorough knowledge of restaurant food and beverage preparation.
• Ensure service area is cleared and thoroughly cleaned at the conclusion of the recent meal period. All equipment must be stored in the designated area.
• Maintain constant presence in room; greet guests upon arrival and thank them for coming upon their departure.
• Communicate guest compliments/complaints to management.
• Notify supervisor of any broken or damaged equipment.
• Maintain Driftwood and resort & restaurant standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.

Personal Skills

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
• Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville Lake Resort policies and procedures.
• Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum lifting/pulling of 40 pounds.
• Being on feet for an entire shift, possibly 8 hours or more.
• Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
• Hearing, writing, typing.
