Server/Bartender

Shift: Flexible

Columbia Club, a private city club established in 1889 on Monument Circle, offers an opportunity for those seeking to join our dedicated team. With 20,000 square feet of meeting and event facilities, guest rooms, and multiple dining rooms, Columbia Club provides a unique experience. Member services and a Health & Wellness Center further enhance our offerings.

Job Responsibilities

1. Greet and welcome customers warmly
2. Take accurate food and drink orders and deliver promptly
3. Provide menu recommendations based on customer preferences
4. Mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to recipes
5. Verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated customers
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and seating areas
7. Upsell food and beverages to increase sales
8. Handle customer complaints professionally
9. Collaborate with kitchen and staff for a smooth dining experience
10. Perform opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory
11. Stay knowledgeable about menu items and specials
12. Adhere to health, safety, and alcohol serving regulations

Qualifications

1. Experience as a Server and/or Bartender
2. Excellent customer service and communication skills
3. Ability to memorize menu details
4. Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize
6. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
7. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
8. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items
9. Basic math and cash handling skills

Compensation
