The Clydesdale, a premier fine-dining craft cocktail restaurant in Ballpark Village, is seeking energetic servers to deliver exceptional hospitality. Join a fast-paced, high-volume environment and connect with guests from greeting to farewell.

You will guide guests through menus, upsell thoughtfully, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure memorable experiences. This role demands a positive, detail-oriented, team-focused attitude and availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant serving experience in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

The Clydesdale is St. Louis' newest American tavern, located in Ballpark Village and created by James Beard Award-winning Chef Kevin Nashan. Our team is passionate about genuine hospitality, exceptional food, handcrafted cocktails, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.

We're looking for energetic, hospitality-driven Servers who love working in a fast-paced restaurant, enjoy connecting with people, and take pride in delivering outstanding service from the first greeting through the final thank you.

What You'll Do

• Welcome every guest with genuine hospitality and professionalism.


• Guide guests through our food, beer, wine, and cocktail menus.


• Make thoughtful recommendations and confidently upsell food and beverages.


• Deliver exceptional table service while maintaining speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.


• Accurately enter orders into the POS system.


• Coordinate with bartenders, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.


• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and resolve concerns professionally.


• Verify guest identification and responsibly serve alcohol in accordance with Missouri liquor laws.


• Recognize signs of intoxication and notify management when necessary.


• Process guest payments accurately.


• Complete opening, running, and closing side work.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready section throughout every shift.


• Work as part of a collaborative team to create an exceptional dining experience.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of restaurant serving experience in a high-volume restaurant, upscale casual, fine dining, or hospitality environment.


• Strong food and beverage knowledge or willingness to learn.


• Excellent communication and guest service skills.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


• Professional, positive, and outgoing personality.

• Ability to multitask while maintaining composure under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fine dining experience


• Wine, beer, and craft cocktail knowledge


• Alcohol awareness certification


• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)


• Experience with Toast or similar POS systems

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.


• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


• Frequently bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the restaurant.


• Work efficiently in a fast-paced dining room.
