Job summary

Hook It Up Fish & Chips in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a friendly server to welcome guests, take orders, and keep the dining area clean and ready for the next guest.

You will handle food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and serve meals promptly while ensuring accuracy and presentation. Availability in evenings and weekends is preferred; prior restaurant experience helps.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Ability to provide efficient service with attention to detail.
• Stand for extended periods and work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• New Mexico Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain.
• New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation and responsible alcohol service requirements
• Assist teammates and support overall restaurant operations during busy service periods
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor, Executive Chef/Owner

Requirements

• Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests
• Ability to provide efficient service while maintaining attention to detail
• Comfortable taking ownership of tables from initial greeting through clearing and reset
• Ability to accurately handle guest orders, payments and point-of-sale transactions
• Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• New Mexico Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within the required timeframe
• New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit required when serving alcoholic beverages
• Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred
