Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Del Mar seeks a friendly Restaurant Server to deliver polished dining experiences. You will greet guests, present menus, take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery while maintaining knowledge of menu items and promotions.

You will recommend beverages and dishes, anticipate needs, process payments accurately and keep stations clean. Weekend, holiday, morning and night availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• TIPS and Food Safety certifications required.
• Ongoing training in hospitality and service excellence encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional and attentive service from arrival through departure.
• Greet guests promptly, present menus, take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, beverages, features and promotions.
• Make confident beverage and food recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage tables and respond to requests promptly.
• Process guest checks, credit cards, cash and hotel charges accurately.
• Maintain clean, organized server stations and service areas.
• Complete opening, running and closing side work.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and hotel standards.
• Support fellow Food & Beverage team members and other outlets as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Provide warm, professional and attentive service from arrival through departure.
• Greet guests promptly, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverages, daily features and promotions.
• Make confident food, wine, cocktail and beverage recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
• Anticipate guest needs, maintain tables throughout service and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Accurately process guest checks, credit cards, cash and hotel room charges.
• Maintain clean, organized, stocked and guest-ready server stations and service areas.
• Complete all assigned opening, running and closing side work.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service and hotel standards.
• Support fellow Food & Beverage team members and other outlets as business needs require.
• Other duties as assigned.
