At Sevilla, the Server position is responsible for ensuring guests enjoy Sevilla's memorable music, food, and culture, developing loyal guest relationships that result in repeat visits. This role requires dedication to learning about Sevilla's cultural aspects through on-the-job training and self-education. The ability to passionately communicate Sevilla's unique characteristics to guests, positively contribute to the work environment, and adhere to company, state, and federal regulations are key to success.
Position duties and responsibilities include:
- Promote and sell Sevilla's culinary delights, beverages, and specials, educating guests about Spanish food, wines, and culture.
- Follow Sevilla's Steps of Service specific to the job code.
- Use daily checklists to track opening and closing procedures.
- Create an excellent guest experience to encourage return visits.
- Respond promptly to guest needs and requests.
- Ensure food and beverage entries into the POS system follow policy.
- Evaluate the quality and presentation of served items.
- Oversee Busser activities, assisting with table clearing when directed.
- Run food whenever possible.
- Maintain proper table cleanliness and organization.
- Assist at the host stand with seating when possible.
- Handle payments following cash procedures and report concerns.
- Address routine guest concerns per Sevilla's standards and notify managers of non-routine issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards, including side work and end-of-shift procedures.
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies, reporting issues immediately.
- Carry trays and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and provide excellent customer service.
- If working as a Show Server, set up and manage dinner show operations following all steps of service.
- Complete all training and team collaboration expectations.
- Adhere to uniform and appearance policies as outlined in the Sevilla Handbook.
Additional Responsibilities
- Properly clock in/out, including meal and break periods, and notify managers of any issues.
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
- Report any harassment, discrimination, safety, or security concerns immediately.
Requirements
To perform successfully, candidates should have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, fine dining environment or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and sanitary regulations
- Current Food Handler's Card and LEAD Card
- Ability to learn POS and timekeeping systems
