Position Summary

We are opening BoujieMana, a new restaurant in central San Diego, serving both the public and providing support to TCWGlobal by preparing basic catering-style meals three times a week for 125+ employees. Features include a full bar, VIP room, indoor/outdoor seating, and a training/event center for up to 120 guests. Ample parking is available during nights and weekends, with street parking during office hours. Our menu emphasizes quality ingredients across all meals of the day.

We seek a professional, enthusiastic bartender with excellent communication skills to prepare and serve high-quality beverages. Responsibilities include greeting guests, learning preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and ensuring proper equipment and ingredient usage, as well as basic stocking and cleaning duties. The goal is to provide guests with a memorable experience that encourages repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities

Primary:

• Promote and act in alignment with BoujieMana's mission
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes
• Handle guest payments and credit card processing
• Verify guest age for alcohol purchase
• Present menus, recommend drinks, and answer beverage questions
• Take orders from guests or staff
• Mix drinks accurately and efficiently
• Serve snacks or food items at the bar
• Record orders and balance cash receipts
• Recognize regular guests
• Manage guest intoxication responsibly
• Clean and sterilize barware and equipment
• Stock bar supplies and maintain an attractive display
• Maintain cleanliness and report equipment issues
• Attend meetings and support team operations

Supplemental:

• Manage bar operations and supplies
• Supervise bar staff and create drink menus
• Prepare appetizers and provide local area information

Tools & Technology

• POS systems, credit card machines, computers, tablets
• Bar equipment including shakers, blenders, ice machines

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 2 years of bar experience
• Must be 21+ years old
• Valid Food Handler’s and ABC Cards
• Knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails
• Attention to detail and good communication
• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays
• Basic math and computer skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs
• Customer service-oriented, professional appearance
