Job summary

SSP Group plc is hiring servers for Mad Town Gastropub inside the Madison Regional Airport in Madison, WI. Full-time or part-time shifts are available. You will greet guests, take orders, suggest menu items, and handle payments at the POS.

Ideal candidates have some customer service experience, English proficiency, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. A food handlers permit and brand certification are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience working in retail or food service environment preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
• Food handlers permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check an order & close out a check.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
• Other duties as assigned
