Qualifications
The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences for members and guests of Rock Barn Country Club & Spa. This role involves courteous and efficient food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness and readiness of assigned dining areas, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a refined and welcoming environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet members and guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
- Present menus, take orders accurately, and answer questions about menu items, specials, and wine selections.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper etiquette and presentation standards are maintained.
- Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs, including refilling beverages and clearing used dishes.
- Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate food and drink delivery.
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations at all times.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using the club’s POS system.
- Adhere to all food safety and alcohol service guidelines and club policies.
- Provide a high level of hospitality and address member/guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous serving experience in an upscale or fine dining environment is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced team setting.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
