Job summary

The Vista Host Hotels Management & Development is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver friendly food and beverage service with mastery of the menu and guest-experience focus. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and composure in a fast-paced environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences across Vista Host properties.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, timely presentation, beverage station setup, and consistent guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to anticipate guests’ service needs and respond proactively.
• Strong organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a food server preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding alcohol service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage service to guests with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Present the menu, provide detailed explanations of items as needed, and take guest orders accurately.
• Prepare and present orders in an organized, timely manner to ensure quality service.
• Refill water, make and pour coffee, and attend to additional guest requests.
• Clear tables throughout the dining experience, using proper methods to remove dishes, glassware, and silverware.
• Reset tables promptly and ensure all table settings meet cleanliness standards.
• Polish silverware, fold linens, and assist in maintaining a tidy dining area.
• Set up beverage stations by brewing coffee and arranging condiments for appropriate shifts.
• Actively listen and respond to guest concerns, using empathy and professionalism to resolve issues.
• Participate in team efforts to meet and exceed guest expectations, assisting where needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support restaurant operations.
