Off The Hook Restaurants is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems across Southeast Louisiana locations. Focus areas include walk-ins, ice machines, and rooftop units, with coordination to maintain safety, efficiency, and brand standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC, can read manuals and schematics, and is willing to work varied

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and building schematics.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, on ladders, and on rooftops.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, and ice machines; ensure food safety temperature compliance.
• Maintain rooftop HVAC units, coils, belts, motors, and related components; replace filters.
• Perform preventive maintenance across locations.
• Repair commercial cooking equipment (fryers, grills, ovens) and verify temperatures and gas pressure.
• Calibrate cooking equipment temperatures and verify burner performance.
• Perform light electrical tasks and troubleshoot circuits within code requirements.
• Address plumbing issues and coordinate major repairs with licensed plumbers.
• Inspect and maintain hood and Ansul fire suppression systems; document service histories and PM logs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours or weekends; manage multiple work orders.
